We have recently completed painting of a newly built summer house. Client is planning to have a bar and a pool table in it. Great addition to a property and it doesn’t require a planning permission. It is important to protect such wooden structures as soon as possible. Leaving them unpainted for too long, would invalidate a warranty and could lead to deformation of timber.
On the outside, we used Sikkens Satura Rubbol satin, very durable. Slow in application, but worth it. Brush and roller application:
Internally, we applied a shellac primer to stop knot bleeding and followed with Tikkurila Helmi 30. Walls and ceilings sprayed, windows and doors brushed:
